Elizabeth Caldwell grew up riding horses in her backyard on Signal Mountain, Tennessee. When she and her sister started jumping on their Shetland ponies, their mother decided it was time for riding lessons and their first helmets! After structured lessons and some polish on the ponies, Elizabeth started showing in 4-H and local Hunter shows. She then joined the United States Pony Club and achieved the HA level. She won many national championships in Pony Club in both dressage and eventing. One of her many achievements was National Champion in HA/A Dressage in 2003.
Elizabeth was a Pony Club instructor for many years and even traveled to Alaska to teach camps and clinics. Elizabeth also joined the United States Eventing Association and competed in upper level eventing, riding through Intermediate level. She continued eventing and has brought several young horses along in this discipline. Now a mother and veterinarian, Elizabeth has taken a step back from competing but still enjoys teaching all levels of riders in a safe, encouraging atmosphere.
